The Behavioral Health Programs at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas are here to provide hope and strength in your most difficult times. Our goal is to help you learn to cope with your daily situations without feeling hopeless or out of control. We are dedicated to giving you the care and support needed during those difficult times. Our team of psychiatrists, medical doctors, social workers, therapists and specialized nurses will provide assessments and treatment plans to meet your needs or the needs of your loved one. Additional Services As a convenience, we provide lunch and snacks for patients. Referrals may be made by a psychiatrist, personal physician, hospital, mental health professional or agency, family member, concerned friend or by self-referral. Confidential assessments are offered to anyone interested in exploring problems and options. If you or someone you love struggle with any of these symptoms, we may be able to help.

The following are the programs offered:

Partial Hospitalization Program

For patients who need or require maximum support, the Partial Hospitalization Program provides a more comprehensive and extended services five days a week. This includes group therapy, individual therapy, medication management, psychiatric evaluation, specialized nursing and social services.

Intensive Outpatient Program/Outpatient Counseling

For more stable clients, the Intensive Outpatient Program/Outpatient Counseling offers services from one-to-three days a week, providing a more concentrated therapeutic environment than a traditional outpatient setting. This includes group therapy, individual therapy, medication management, psychiatric evaluation, specialized nursing, and social services.

Experienced Staff

Transitional behavioral health services are provided by some of the finest health care practitioners in our area. Working hand-in-hand with your doctor, our team of psychiatrists, doctors, social workers, therapists and specialized nurses will provide assessments and treatment plans to meet the needs of the patient and family. As with any other medical program, your right to privacy is always protected.
